Women of the Bible
A 52-week look into 52 women of the Bible and their stories
The Bible is the story of God’s relationship with His people from creation to the fall and the life, resurrection and second coming of His Son, Jesus Christ.
There are many characters in the story, including you and me. We’ve read a lot about the men of the Bible, Adam, Abraham, Noah, Moses, David, Paul, Peter, and many more. But what do we know about the Women of the Bible? I wanted to dig deeper in the stories of different women who lived in Biblical times and a friend of mine suggested this book to me. I found a used one on THRIFTBOOKS, but you can also find it on Amazon or just about any Christian bookstore.
Women of the Bible walks you through the lives of 52 prominent women and not so prominent women of Scripture; prostitutes, evil queens, prophetesses, wealthy, abused, single, married and widows, young and old. Real women who struggled with the same things we do today; infertility, worry, fear, longing for affection, motherhood, striving for wisdom and even doubt, amongst many other things.
Each week I’ll be studying about one woman, with readings each day, Monday - Friday. That’s 52 women in 52 weeks!
I’ll share about the woman we’re studying and share my own insights into how her life compares to mine and possibly yours. I would love for you to follow along with me and share your thoughts and comments as we read together.
This week we’re going to start with “Eve” and I can’t think of a better woman to begin with than the “Mother of all who have life.”
